On a raining Friday, we decided to take a visit to Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. It’s right off Highway 43, and a great stop. If you are just looking for a quick bite to eat or have the opportunity to spend the entire afternoon.
Your admission for the day includes: the interactive exhibits, the Land O’Lakes Birthing Barn, a tour to a local dairy farm. Beau had the chance to name one of the baby cows: “Marissa”.
We enjoyed a delicious lunch at their café onsite. Make sure you do not forget a scoop of ice cream before you leave!
Blake wouldn’t stop saying “woof woof” every time she’d see a cow, it was adorable. We ate our weight in cheese in curd and sandwich-form and drank cold milk. We explored a local farm by charter bus and walked through their discovery center.
I think older children, closer to 10+ would really enjoy their time spent in the discovery center. There are a lot of interactive information to be shared with them. Although it was even hard to get my two to leave when it was time. All in all…it was a great afternoon!
I absolutely love to hear that the Farm Discovery Center is becoming a strong stop must-check-out in Wisconsin now. So our visit here, will definitely not be our last.
Make sure to visit their website for more information and upcoming events: https://farmwisconsin.org/ They always seem to have great new and fun activities for all ages.
